We will have both parent and student volunteers at the book fair. Parent Volunteers:
The librarian will contact parent volunteers from the school's parent volunteer list.
The librarian will schedule parent volunteers.
The librarian will use the "parent volunteer contacts" to send all parent volunteers reminders as well as thank you notes.
Parent Volunteers Will:
Be in charge of totaling customer purchases, taking money for the sales and distributing change.
Keep an eye out for students stealing when there are large crowds.
Student Volunteers: Student volunteers will be the same students that help in the library on a regular basis. The librarian will meet with the student volunteers prior to the book fair. The student volunteers will to get to choose one of the display posters for their hard work.
Student Volunteers Will:
Help set up the book fair
Help advertise the book fair
Distribute invitations to parents and friends for the family night
Help clean up and tear down the book fair
